GEAR UP for La Verne Women's Basketball

ABOUT THE TEAM

We are a Division III program where student-athletes receive no athletic aid. We choose Division III as it is built on putting the student before the athlete, but most importantly putting the person above all. At Division III, you truly see student-athletes like the women on the team here at the University of La Verne we play for the love of the game. Not only are we dedicated to our academics and athletics, but we are also committed to our personal development. As a team we have set goals to be one of the top teams in the conference and working to change the culture to make it to the Division III NCAA Tournament.

OUR PROJECT-GEAR UP

There is the saying, " If you look good, you feel good" We want to help these student-athletes that sacrifice so much of their time and bodies to represent their university and help them FEEL GOOD. Each year the team and coaches use all their efforts to help purchase team uniforms, shoes, travel attire and practice gear. At times, the players are sponsoring their own gear for competition. It is the goal to help these hard working student-athletes eliminate this responsibility. We would like to ask for your help to assist the members of the University of La Verne Women's Basketball team GEAR UP for season. It is a basic need to have the appropriate gear to compete, protect them from injury, and last through numerous practice and competitions. We want the players to also feel good about having the proper gear that allows them to wear the University of La Verne across their chest with pride. We want to represent the school in all facets of the community, on campus, and when traveling.

WHY SHOULD YOU GEAR UP?

Your donation will have an immediate impact not only on the program, but the lives of these student athletes. When student-athletes put on their gear and uniforms it is as if they are putting on their armor as they go into the battle of competition. It gives them confidence, pride, and shows their love for the game. Your donation gives the girls confidence, ease of a financial burden and the resources to be the best. We hope that you will help Women’s Basketball GEAR UP for the upcoming season as they fight to be one of the top teams in SCIAC and represent you and show our thanks on the court!
